The Mid-Autumn Festival is a very important traditional festival in China ,because it symbolizes “family reunion”.
Every year on this day, my brothers and I must return to our parents’ home. We spent the warm days with our family.
Everybody enjoyed the reunion atmosphere.
For many years I have always thought that our family is best complete and best perfect on the world, and I am the
happiest person. This fine memory have accompanied me for over 50 years.
But now I have lost my beloved father. He passed away on May 1st this year. He had given me the life and the greatest
love. The lost of my dear father has brought me great pain that can not be described by words. I can’t help feeling sad
whenever I think of my father.
These days I have been thinking of writing a short article to cherish the memory of my father whom I miss so much. But
every time when I picked up a pen tears blindfolded my eyes before I could write a single word.
It is Mid-Autumn Day again, a familiar and warm day . But everything has turned strange to me without my dear father.
I don’t know how to do. My mother will be grieved. I have to do something to cheer the family up. I asked my mother,
“Do you believe in souls?”. I myself do.
My father has gone to Heaven, a place that is not far away and
without diseases and pain. He’s looking at us and blessing the family.
My old mother said, “From now on we are not going to celebrate the May 1st Day and Mid-Autumn Festival.” I know
that mother’s still feeling sad for my father.
I made a decision that I go to Babaoshan to see my father with my brothers on the day and then go to have dinner with
my mother at her house. We will try to let her forget the sadness.
I have been to see my mother more frequently and have spent more time talking to her since my father’s death, no
matter how busy I am. I will not let her feel lonely. I would do anything to make her happy.
It’s Mid-Autumn Day today. I wish a long and healthy life for my mother.
I wish all the best for my family.I wish good luck and happiness for my teachers and all the friends.
